Yoga is an ancient life-changing system for health and transformation. Living a healthy, happy and positive life is possible and Yoga philosphy points the way, leading to freedom from ignorance of knowing our true selves. In this 2 session course we will take a deeper look at the principals behind the Yoga practice. The 4 paths of Yoga will be introduced as well as the 5 main points of Yoga for the West, asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), relaxation, vegetarian diet and positive thinking and meditation.
Mukti Devi is a long time Sivananda Yoga practitioner, student and teacher. She completed the Sivananda TTC and ATTC and has served in many ashrams and centers over the years. She currently lives in NYC, serving at the New York Center and also teaches private yoga and mediation classes, besides offering workshops and courses for businesses and corporations throught the city.
