An addiction is not being able to control how a substance, food or activity is used, leading to dependency. This can be any substance that an individual becomes dependent on. It can grab hold of life, and make it impossible to cope with daily living without it. Yoga is a powerful and effective discipline for recovery and healing from addiction, leading to a life of freedom.
This eveving workshop will explore the many ways we can find help and relief from our addictions throught the practices of yoga.
Mukti Devi is a long time Sivananda Yoga practitioner, student and teacher. She completed the Sivananda TTC and ATTC and has served in many ashrams and centers over the years. She currently lives in NYC, serving at the New York Center and also teaches private yoga and mediation classes, besides offering workshops and courses for businesses and corporations throught the city.
