Studies show that the foods we eat have a profound effect on our health, well-being and quality of life. Home cooked vegetarian meals made from whole, fresh, plant based food lead to long lasting health and happiness.
A healthy plant based diet is part of the yogic lifestyle. A vegetarian diet has a higher proportion of beans, soy protein, whole grains, nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables, and as a result has higher dietary amounts of fiber, antioxidants and vitamins.
In this workshop emphasis will be on how to change from a meat based diet to a vegetarian diet without feeling a lack of nutrition. In this course we will explore how to use protein alternatives to make simple, delicious vegetarian meals to please all palates.
Dishes will include vege-pate, a miso-tahini spread, lentil loaf, tempeh tuna and many other favorites.
If you want to cut back on meat, or you are already a vegetarian, this workshop will teach you how to prepare your own delicious, nutritious, and meatless meals.
