Group Meditation (Satsang)
Satsang is a gathering for group spiritual practice.
Monday through Friday morning satsang is at 6am, Sunday Evening at 6:15pm
at the original Center location, 1246 W. Bryn Mawr Ave.
We begin with a 30-minute guided silent meditation, followed by Kirtan (chanting) for approximately 30 minutes, and end with a reading or talk on a spiritual topic. The length of the satsang is usually 75 minutes in the morning, and 90 minutes on Sunday evening.
Satsang is open to all; there is no requirement of previous knowledge of yoga. Chant books are provided for you to follow and join in the chanting if you wish.

Celebrate the Festival of Lights with the Sivananda community through satsang, "association of the wise," and puja! Satsang is a gathering for spiritual practice that includes silent meditation, Kirtan (chanting of Sanskrit mantras), a talk or reading on a spiritual topic, and prayers for peace. With the aid of external symbols, we invoke Divine energies.
